OUTREACH + EDUCATION

Gold Country Food Hub creates opportunities for education, collaboration and community engagement that strengthen connections between agriculture, food, health and the people and organizations working to build a resilient regional food system.

In collaboration with partner organizations, we create educational activities and community events that bring together producers, educators, organizations and community members to share knowledge, exchange ideas and explore opportunities to learn and grow together.

One way we engage our community is through documentary film screenings followed by panel discussions featuring changemakers who bring relevant knowledge, experience and perspectives to the topic. These conversations encourage thoughtful dialogue, shared learning and greater awareness of the issues and opportunities shaping our food system.

Past events have included screenings of Kiss the Ground and Common Ground, documentaries that explore the transformative potential of regenerative agriculture to restore soil health, strengthen ecosystems, support farmers and contribute to a healthier, more resilient food system.
