Healthy Food.
Thriving Communities.
Land Stewardship.
The Gold Country Food Hub provides resources and infrastructure for a regenerative, equitable and resilient regional food system. We build and strengthen the relationships that connect producers, markets and communities.
About Us
Gold Country Food Hub is a nonprofit food hub based in downtown Auburn, California, serving Placer, Nevada, El Dorado and Yuba counties and the greater Sacramento region. We develop market opportunities for a network of local and regional farmers, ranchers and artisan food producers, connecting people and organizations with healthy food.

WHAT IS A FOOD HUB?
A food hub connects producers with markets by coordinating the many functions required to move food from production to buyer, providing infrastructure and services including marketing, sales, order processing, aggregation, storage, cold-chain management, processing, distribution and delivery. Relationships and partnerships are integral to this work, building trust and collaboration while creating efficiencies, expanding market opportunities for producers, and making locally and
regionally produced food more accessible through a variety of market channels.

We act with honesty, transparency and accountability, holding ourselves to high standards in our decisions, relationships and work.
Equity
We are committed to equitable access to market opportunities and healthy food, and to fostering inclusion and representation within our organization and the communities we serve.
Stewardship
We believe in a reciprocal relationship with the land and the living systems it supports, respecting the knowledge and traditions of those who have long cared for the land—building soil health, supporting biodiversity and animal wellbeing, protecting natural resources, and nurturing the living systems on which our food system depends.
